When it comes to having bits of your laptop replaced one of the major things thats likely to need replacing is the battery. Typically it usually stops taking charge just after the warranty runs out. Newer laptop replacement batterys can have a much better capacity too - developments in holding electric charge do continually occur so chances are the battery you could hope to have got 2-3 hours of laptop use out of could probably be replaced with a new lion battery pack that will last 4 maybe 6 hours of continual notebook use!

You can spend a varying amount of money on laptop batterys, ranging from the cheapo replacement budget batterys that hold power to a basic level and will probably last a year or so - these are not advisable as can be just as useless as the one you are replacing, and all that acid is bad for the environment! We would advise spending just that little bit more to get a major brand replacement laptop-battery if you do and one with some good numbers. When it comes to universal batterys and chargers these can play up a bit too so check throuroughly what your buying before you spend the cash.
